About the game

The Long Way Home puts you in a suit far from Earth with a tank of fuel and the air in your lungs. Every burn costs fuel you may never get back, so the fast route is rarely the straight one. Swing past a planet and let gravity carry you onward for free.

Between you and home sit abandoned supply stations, each holding one decisive resupply. Crack sealed containers if you have the patience, and cross debris fields slowly so they don't shred you. VESTA, the unit strapped to your chest, tells you when your heading is wrong. Reach Earth before the oxygen runs out, then do it again carrying cargo.

How to play

• Drag anywhere to look and aim. Space fires the main engine in short taps, and fuel is finite.
• X flips you around and burns retrograde, the only way to slow down. Z lays you flat along your heading to sidestep rock.
• V runs a weak ion drive on battery instead of fuel. F scans for supplies and charts debris, T patches the suit.
• Tab opens the planning map; pick a destination and your scanner becomes a compass.
